After years of nudges from my family and friends to start a blog, I finally took the plunge! I always thought I couldn’t do it, no one would care and that my lifestyle wasn’t glamorous enough to blog about. I hope this is what sets me apart; being relate-able to my following. I’m just like a lot of you: I work a full-time job, I bring my child to daycare, live in a middle-class neighborhood, we have old furniture, there’s stacks of laundry on the floor, and gosh darnit, I LOVE IT! Why fashion? Why lifestyle? Why blog about it? For me, fashion is a huge part of life! Every day is an opportunity to create your own look through what you wear. I remember every year starting with kindergarten, preparing my outfit for the first week (yes, week) of the new school year. Down to the earrings and socks, I’d have my whole week laid out. Having said that, fashion isn’t just “something to wear” for me. I’m always researching boutiques, their products, price points and how they operate in general. I look for coupons, seasonal deals and how they communicate with their fan base. Because not everyone does this, let me do the leg-work for you and share my findings. One of the most important things I want to focus on in this blog is supporting small business and local. Whether it’s local for me or local to wherever you are, entrepreneurs need our support. I always thought I wanted to start a boutique, which is why I majored in Apparel Merchandising. Upon graduation, I entered into corporate retail, which gained me even more experience in fashion. I found out, I’m better working in marketing and social media versus fashion. I wouldn’t say I got fizzled out on fashion, I just keep the passion more when I keep it extracurricular. I’m always looking for mom-hacks, cheaper options and making a little go along way. I hope you’ll follow along on my life journey with me!
