The Christmas stocking holds so much family tradition and memories. If you’re like our family, we love stockings and it’s the first thing we open when we start opening Christmas gifts. As we’ve gotten older, our stockings have evolved into less small, snacky gifts and more meaning and useful gifts. We still have our stockings contain more lower-priced gifts, but we try and make them more practical! 

The Empire Mall in Sioux Falls, SD has such an amazing variety for every man in your life. From fashion, to sports, to wooden creations, you can complete your list right here in town! I turned to the Empire Mall for my shopping list because you get an experience that you can’t online. I was able to see the true colors, textures and quality of the items. There’s something about heading out in the cold with Christmas music playing and searching for meaningful gifts and anticipating the smiley reaction when he opens them! It’s what makes this time of the year the most wonderful time of the year! 

I always start with clothing for the men in my life. I find that most guys spend the least amount of their income on clothing/fashion necessities.

1. A go-to for me is a good henley option! I feel like these universal tops for men aren’t too trendy yet not too casual. This men’s henley has a thicker, waffle-knit texture, making it more comfortable and easy-going fit.
2. You may not think your guy would wear a scarf, but just try it! I’ve gotten Spencer to come out his box just by telling him to try it! I guarantee you they’ve thought of a scarf before– it’s cold out! I found this one that starts at $5! There’s usually always a sale at this retailer so these make for the ideal stocking-stuffer price-point!
3. Can a guy really ever have too many tee’s? They live in them, am I right? Tee’s are great stocking-stuffers! Chances are their current tee’s should have been replaced already! I usually do a quick inventory, if possible, before replacing with new colors to see which ones are needed more. If you’re not sure, go with a color you know they don’t have. I find most men are pretty flexible with color. These stretchy and soft men’s tees are usually always on some sort of a BOGO special!
4. When thinking of the traditional pj’s and lounger stocking gift, try a new style for him! I think the word “jogger” tends to scare some men, but again, just try it! These have a fleece inside and a relaxed waistband, perfect for watching football!
5. Lastly, you cannot go wrong with cologne! Let’s be honest ladies, this is just as much a gift for us! This is my man’s fav scent that I get him every year!
