Two Wednesday’s in a row… who dis?!
There’s plenty to update on as now is the time to constantly be working on things! The second I think that we have enough time, is the second that I’m going to fall behind and I know myself and know I will not like that!
The invites have been ordered and I should get them this week! Depending on what day it is… I’ll either mail them the next day or wait until Monday. I don’t like the thought of having them sitting in carriers/mail boxes over a Sunday. Our wedding planner and my graphic designer both suggested doing addressed envelopes! Meaning, the printing company will print the address on the envelopes for me. For a minimal investment more, they both said it is WELL with the added charge! I’m not crazy about my penmanship so that’s fine with me! We’re doing postcard RSVP’s so I need to pick up some regular postage and postcard postage– yes, there is a difference! Postcard postage is cheaper!
My wedding dress is fully done and fits me to a T! The second I walked out of alterations, I brought it straight to my mom’s house. I would highly recommend not having it in your own home. I don’t want to be tempted to put it on, I don’t want my son to get a hold of it and I don’t want to risk Spencer seeing it!
For reception decor, more specifically, centerpieces, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m not going to find 20 of the same lanterns. I’ve also thought that maybe I don’t want lanterns and the same thing on all of them! I’m now going to do 3 different main pieces within the centerpiece but all have them accented with the same theme. The lanterns that I have thus far will need to be spray painted, so my sister suggested this brand! She’s had good luck with it and it’s nice to know that she’s already tested it! So, that’s my next steps with this… order the other centerpieces and start spray-painting my lanterns.
