Bargain boho finds & inspo!
If you’ve been following along with my stories over @bestdressedblonde you’ve seen that we have been little painting fools over at our house! We’ve lived here for almost 3 years and haven’t touched a wall with paint so this was LONG overdue! We covered up dark/chocolate brown, bright blue and dark taupe! It’s such a breath of fresh air to see some new walls! I’m also sharing my home decor makeover! This was LONG overdue and I’m SO happy with how it all turned out! Paint Colors
Looking to do some painting yourself? Here are some swatches of colors that we looked at from Sherwin Williams! We have Tony Taupe in both our upstairs and downstairs living spaces now! We have Dovetail as an accent wall and will be using it in our kitchen as well! The upstairs bathroom will be painted too so thinking about this Divine White or Creamy for that.
Upstairs Home Decor
Taking all of the wall decor down and assessing my stock, I knew that it was time for some fresh decor! I could also see that my decor style has drastically changed! Modern Farmhouse just wasn’t suiting my style anymore… Boho or Boho Chic has been catching my eye! Muted neutrals, soft pinks and grays mixed with some metals and crotchet details! I didn’t buy one thing that was over $60! Many of the pieces were under $20! Not everything I can link for you… but I’ll link what I can!
This is one of my favorite setups! This mirror is a gem…. you cannot find a mirror that looks like this and this quality anywhere else for this price! I paired it with this adorable gold vase that comes in two sizes! My beaded rope is from Hobby Lobby, so I linked a similar style. The larger printed vase is from At Home (now in Sioux Falls) which I can’t link so I’m linking a similar one!
I’m sharing this tripod lamp again because this was an impulse buy that I’m SOOOO glad I picked up! Perfect amount of light and goes perfect with my scheme! I got this end table from the Hobby Lobby clearance section for $40! If you’re in the market for new throw pillows, At Home has an amazing selection! None of these were over $24.99! If you look closely, you’ll see those marble coasters that I shared in stories too!
Wall Collages
I’m a sucker for a good wall collage, but in my opinion, they can be overdone and too much! You want to fill a wall space but not look like you’re trying to hard to fill that space. Sticking with the theme, I wanted soft colors and textures with a pop of plant and a family picture. This macrame mirror comes in more options and is the perfect touch while reflecting some light. I can’t link this exact wreath but I think I found an even better one and it’s still a bomb price, on sale! Click here! The other items are all from At Home or Hobby Lobby.
The next wall collage is my favorite! I love the look of stacking frames and adding soft touches of color. Another macrame wall piece, this one being a hanging piece, is the perfect boho piece! I love that it added in a little soft neutral into the display! This shelf is perfect for stacking frames or loose pieces because it has the lip/edge to hold it up. The picture frames and coral leaf are all from Hobby Lobby.
I found a lot of great florals from Michael’s craft stores! they always have coupons through emails too that make a huge difference in your total! This beaded rope is from there as well! Here’s some great pink pampas broom stems! The same stem, but in tan! Love these for vase fillers! I love palm stems/leaves for the boho theme for a pop of color. Dried Lagarus is a soft and textiled touch! This one almost has a straw-type vibe!
If you’re looking to fill some space and have a great wall piece, this one has all of the neutrals together in one and love the geometric print. It really ties in any wood working that you might have!
Downstairs Decor
Spencer actually brought this piece of furniture from his place! I was so impressed! And, this is still available at Hobby Lobby! The pillows and throws are a combo of Home Goods and At Home! I’m linking this set of candlesticks that are under $20 for the set of 3!!
This is my favorite nook downstairs! Such simplicity but then modern and classic all at the same time. If I could put this hanging, wall mirror in every room I would! It’s under $50 and so dang adorable! Also linking this silver dollar crackled planter! Here’s the beaded rope tassel again too! The book that the pot is sitting on is from a vintage store! Stores like that have the best looking stacking books for super cheap.
A wall sconce is perfect next to artwork or a solid, large piece. It adds just a little something without being overbearing. This has the lighted strand included so provides a soft glow at night as well! I got this sign in the Hobby Lobby clearance section.
Let me know if you have any questions or are needing any links! As always, thank you for following along and supporting my passion!!
